First Presbyterian Church

Sunday Sermon Series

On Sundays, August 13 through November 26, we will be studying one of the most exciting books of the entire Bible. This series of studies will encourage us to be a people equipped to live out our faith in the messiness and distractions of everyday life. As we wrestle with the principles contained in the book of Acts, we will be inspired and energized to be a church that encapsulates the dynamic biblical principles at the heart of the gospel.

Seeking to be a 21st-century church in downtown Greenville, we will learn from the healthy practices of the infant church, recognizing that like us, the early church—despite all its imperfections and troubles—was overwhelmed and empowered by the Holy Spirit. The Spirit enabled the early Christians to be a vibrant, growing, winsome group, faithful to the call of God and transformative to their community.

Join us for this series as we explore what it means to be effective and active disciples of Christ, growing in grace and gratitude and faith, and longing to see others come to know Him.

This fall will be a significant and special time in the life of our congregation. But please remember, if you are ready to engage with God as He truly is, you will not remain the same.
