CONGREGATIONAL MEETING APRIL 30

The Session has called a Congregational Meeting for Sunday, April 30, at 10:30am in the Sanctuary, for the purpose of electing Class of 2020 elders, deacons, FPC board members, and Foundation board members. NO PARKING ON WASHINGTON STREET

The city does not allow parking on Washington Street any day of the week. To avoid being ticketed, please use the church lots or the Richardson Street Parking Garage. Handicap Parking will remain available on Richardson Street on Sundays. Children’s Ministry, Tina Jones

SWEETHEART DANCE MAY 5 FOR GIRLS & DADS

All 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade girls are invited to bring Dad or a special someone to the Sweetheart Dance on Friday, May 5, 7:00–9:00pm in Fellowship Hall. Admission is $10 per couple. SPECIAL NEEDS DISABILITY MINISTRY TRAINING

Join others from the Upstate as we grow in our knowledge of how to better minister to individuals with disabilities and their families. First Pres is hosting a conference Saturday, May 13, led by Joni & Friends Ministries of Charlotte, NC (visit JoniAndFriends.org to learn more). Check in at 8:30am and enjoy light refreshments, followed by the conference from 9:00am–1:05pm. Cost is $10 and includes a Chick-fil-A lunch. All church and community members interested in this ministry are invited, so register early by Clicking Here

ALASKA FAMILY MISSION JULY 30–AUGUST 5

Is your family interested in a Family Mission Trip to Alaska through SEND International July 30–August 5? Non-refundable deposit of $100 per person is due Sunday, May 7. 

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL JUNE 25-29

This is an evening family event for children, parents, grandparents, and friends to attend together—6:00–8:00pm with optional dinner from 5:15–6:00pm. Parents can be in the same crew (group) with their children and at the same time be the leader. HOLLIS ACADEMY SPRING CARNIVAL APRIL 28

Hollis Academy needs volunteers and donations for its annual spring carnival on Friday, April 28, 4:00–7:30pm. This PTA fundraiser encourages Hollis parents and kids to enjoy inflatables, games, food, and fun together. Bring your children (under your supervision), man a station, and interact with the Hollis community. Shifts are 3:00–5:30pm and 5:30–8:00pm. The Tuesday Evening Prayer Service with Communion will be held in the Sanctuary on Tuesday, April 25, at 7:00pm. Please note the change of location for this week only.


NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER MAY 4

Join the Greenville community for the National Day of Prayer Service on Thursday, May 4, in the First Pres Sanctuary. Major James Windley will lead the congregation in prayer at noon and nine church and community leaders will pray individually for our city, state, and nation. Special music—singer-songwriter Stephen Eager and a community choir led by Rev. Tom Barrett—begins at 11:30am, with the service following, 12:00–1:00pm. This year’s theme is For Your Great Name’s Sake! Hear Us... Forgive Us... Heal Us! from Daniel 9:19.
