We are Calvinistic: we are
that part of evangelical Protestantism holding
to the fundamentals of the faith, but maintaining
doctrines which make us distinct from certain
other evangelicals. We stress the sovereignty
of God which embraces everything that comes
into the biblical picture of God as Lord and
King in His world, the One who “worketh
all things after the counsel of His own will”
(Eph. 1:11), directing every process and ordering
every event for the fulfilling of His own eternal
plan. We believe that all of humanity is affected
by sin (original sin) which renders it unwilling
and unable to seek reconciliation with God,
the Father, through the Lord Jesus Christ. We
believe that God, the Father, has unconditionally
elected (chosen) from eternity past those who
by His grace will be saved. We believe that
God, the Father, sent His son, the Lord Jesus
Christ, to die on the cross in order to accomplish
the redemption of His people (the Elect). We
also believe that God, the Father and God, the
Son, sent His Holy Spirit to irresistibly and
effectually call His Elect unto salvation in
Jesus Christ and to preserve them in Christ
so that their eternal salvation can never thereafter
be lost.
