We are Evangelical: that term which designates those within Protestantism who hold as essential for adherence to the true faith certain foundational doctrines which include the following:

a. The Bible is the divinely inspired word of God, without error in the original writing and the only infallible rule of faith and practice.
b. There is one God eternally existent in three persons—Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is infinite, immeasurable, transcendent, incomprehensible, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, ubiquitous, and unchangeable.
c. The Lord Jesus Christ, being fully God, assumed a truly human nature when born of the Virgin Mary.
d. The Lord Jesus Christ did literally and physically perform the miracles recorded in the four Gospels.
e. The Lord Jesus Christ lived a sinless life and His atoning death on the cross was a sinless substitute for sinners and that by taking the sinner’s penalty, He secured reconciliation between God and sinners who receive Him as their Lord and Savior.
f. The Lord Jesus Christ rose bodily from the dead the third day and appeared to many.
g. The righteous in Christ after death are consciously in heaven; those apart from Christ are consciously in hell.
h. The Lord Jesus Christ will return literally and bodily a second time at which time the dead will receive reconstituted physical bodies: those in Christ, glorified bodies and those apart from Christ, bodies destined for destruction.
i. The Holy Spirit, who is equal in power, glory, and honor to God the Father and God the Son; proceeds from the Father and the Son to regenerate, convict, effectually call, sanctify, and preserve the Elect unto eternal life.
j. The term Church is used to refer to both the corporate body of Christ composed of all who through personal faith in Christ as Savior and Lord have been born again and also to the locally organized group of believers. The body of Christ is often called the Church invisible, the local organized group the church visible.
