Sanctuary Choir
Singers from rank beginners to seasoned professionals embrace a variety of musical styles to lead worship at 8:30 and 11:00 services. Meets all year, excepting July. The year is divided into 5 seasons, so commitment can be modified for singers’ availability.
Rehearse : Wednesday 6:00-7:30 pm in Choir Room.
Worship : Sundays morning at 8:30 and 11:00 Sanctuary Services
Ages : high school through adult
Child care typically available during rehearsal and worship time.

Celebration Orchestra / Small Group Instruments
Amateur, professional, and semi-professional instrumentalists support worship through small ensemble and orchestral presentation. We encourage a variety of ages and abilities to participate. Meets all year, with rehearsal schedule dependent on performance commitments, which are quite flexible.
Rehearse : Wednesday 6:00-7:30 pm in Sanctuary
Worship : Sunday mornings sometimes at 8:30 and more frequently at 11:00 Sanctuary Services
Ages : high school through adult
Child care typically available during rehearsal and worship time.

Modern Worship
Singers and instrumentalists with a passion for worship that features modern musical expressions, are encouraged to consider Ignite Worship, the modern worship service of First Presbyterian. Our focus is to identify vocalists, guitar players, piano players, and drummers to be part of the Ignite Worship Team, but we also aim to identify instrumentalists of all kinds that could play a role in the ministry when opportunities emerge. Handbell Choir
Ringers celebrate the opportunity to worship God in choreographed sound with a 5-octave handbell set and choir chimes. The handbell choir rehearses September through April, and offers music to worship God through Sanctuary worship and musical events multiple times during the year.

Resonate! (6th-12th)
This group thrives with students who love to sing a variety of contemporary and classical styles. The group engages at worship services, the Christmas concert, and also has an annual retreat in the summer.
Rehearse : Sunday afternoon 4:30-5:45 in Choir Room
Scope : September through May
Worship : Sunday mornings in Sanctuary and Ignite worship services
Ages : 6th - 12th grade

Covenant Choir (3rd-5th)
The Covenant Choir offers elementary-aged children (grades 3-5) a chance to grow in a relationship with God through music reading and singing skill development, with solo and worship opportunities.
Rehearse : Sunday afternoon 4:30-5:45, Flock Sunday School Room (the room downstairs in front of the Choir Room)
Scope : September through April
Worship : Sanctuary (8:30 and 11:00) and Ignite worship services approximately three times per year. The Covenant Choir also performs at the Christmas Concert, and presents a Sunday Worship Concert in the spring.

Cherub and Carol Choirs (K4-2nd)
The Cherub and Carol Choirs rehearse separately and usually perform together. The Carol Choir may have additional repertoire and singing opportunities. Both choirs share a conductor and the choir time is integrated into our Wednesday Advantage program (Wednesday night program with family dinner and programming for all ages). The rehearsal time is paired with age-level Bible study.
Cherub Choir Rehearse : Wednesday 6:15-6:45, Room 317 (Bible study 6:15-6:45)
Scope : September through May (mirrors Wednesday Advantage schedule) Ages : K4 & K5
Carol Choir Rehearse : Wednesday 6:45-7:15, Room 317 (Bible study 6:45-7:15)
Scope : September through May (mirrors Wednesday Advantage schedule)
Ages : K6, 1st, & 2nd grades
Worship : Participates in Sanctuary and Ignite Worship services approx. 3 times per year. The choirs also perform at the Christmas Concert and a Children’s Choir Concert in the spring (usually a Sunday afternoon).

Christmas Season Choir
This extension of the sanctuary choir meets and prepares music for the Christmas season, with an emphasis on preparing for the Christmas at First Concerts.
Rehearse : Wednesday 6:00-7:30, Choir Room and some Sunday afternoon 4:00-6:00, Sanctuary and Choir Room
Scope : October - December
Worship : Sundays morning at 8:30 and 11:00 sanctuary services, Christmas at First Concerts (2nd weekend in December)
Ages : high school through adult
Child care typically available during Wednesday rehearsal, worship, and concert time.

The behind-the-scenes crew makes worship and music shine while using incredibly innovative and top-tier software and sound-tech devices. The tech crew supports the growing expectation of excellency with digital integration in all aspects of worship.
